  • Lineage II Buzz ~ December 2010

For more information on the pending Goddess of Destruction update, check out the Latest News on the official Lineage II website.Lots of exciting stuff going on in Lineage II, now and over the next coming months:
    Account Reactivation Promotion
    Double XP/SP Weekend
    Server Transfers
The Upcoming Goddess of Destruction update
    Duggy Does Dynasty (shameless self-plug)
    Account Reactivation Promotion

We contacted as many friends as we could in the hopes that they could take advantage of this promotion, but with the Christmas season in full-bloom, the timing just wasn't good for most people. Work and families demand more attention at this time of year, and for those who aren't already immersed in Lineage II, reactivating one's game account just before Christmas can carry severe penalties - like a lump of coal in your stockings (not bad if you're a dwarf, but I digress). The promotion ends tomorrow (December 7th) and we can't help but wonder how many old players returned, if any.

    Double XP/SP Weekend

For us die-hard L2 fans, this is what we asked Santa for this year. Is it bad that some players are shuffling their work commitments (not me of course! *cough*) and bribing their spouses (not like that's a problem for me and Oz) hoping to take full advantage of the delicious exp bonus? If you don't already have it marked on your calendar, do so now: Friday, December 10th to Tuesday, December 14th. The time is yet to be announced in the Server Maintenance notice for Friday, December 10 (not yet released, of course).

    Free Server Transfers

After the server merge last month, there were some characters stuck over on the European server (Naia) awaiting server transfers to be re-opened - and I'm sure there are some cases where players wanted to move some characters from Chronos to Naia. This is your chance to do so... for free!

For each Lineage II game account that has been active in the last 12 months, that player will receive one Free Server Transfer Serial Code on their NCsoft Master Account.
This was introduced on November 2, 2010 and will be good up until January 1, 2011. For more information, check out the Latest News on the official Lineage II website.

    Goddess of Destruction Update

The main buzz focuses on the highly-anticipated upcoming mega update Goddess of Destruction. Touted as the "biggest update ever since the game's launch", this new chapter will add 34 new hunting grounds and 60 new Raid bosses. We're also told that an improved engine technology will be implemented which will significantly enhance game graphics.

Oz will be following up with a more in-depth look at this pending update, but for the time being let me leave you with these tasty tidbits you can look forward to:

    • the Awakening System - the fourth class-change with new exclusive skills for every profession
    • R-Grade items (does this mean they will be increasing the level cap?)
    • an improved combat system

Check out the video below and stay tuned for more information! And, of course, feel free to share your findings with us.

This video was recently released in Korea, and teases the public with a look of things to come for Lineage II.
More information about this update will be revealed at Gstar 2010.

    Duggy Does Dynasty

No, this is not like "Debbie Does Dallas" - this is far more sexier. Thanks to my Ozzsome hubby (who scored big-time "perfect hubby" pts on this one) and some amazing friends, as of December 6, 2010 I now have my S80 gear. Woohoo!

Why Dynasty and not Moirai, you ask? Well with Moirai being new and the current market prices being what they are, I would've had to wait until after Christmas for the entire set, and what can I say, I wanted a pretty new dress for Christmas. I gotta be me. And I'm happy as a pig in muck, so it's all good. It has nothing to do with the fact that I like the look of Dynasty better than Moirai. Let's not even review the fact that throughout B Grade I wore the Avadon set because I liked the look better than Blue Wolf. Everyone was wearing it, and I had to be different. What're you gonna do with me?

So thanks to everyone who contributed towards the armor, and to the full Dynasty jewel set with which I was gifted just prior to achieving Level 80. You know who you are, and with your permission, I'd like to personally thank you by posting your names. For now, suffice it to say...

    I LOVE YOU ALL!
