For those new to the forums, let me introduce myself. I'm Dugchugger. My alias was conceived sometime back in 2001 when I found my nickname "chugger" was already taken in ICQ. Back then I was a huge fan of the actor Doug Hutchison and had an autographed pic of him sitting on my desktop. I'm such a geek. In trying to think up a name quick, I simply plopped a derivative of Doug's name in front of chugger and hence Dugchugger was born. A corny story, but one I've been asked many times. Now you know.

Being a child of the '60's (technically I'm a Baby Boomer omg) my first introduction to gaming was board games, darts, fuse ball and pinball machines. Then came the wonderous invention of home tv games in the form of Ping-Pong. I started up my first BBS (bulletin board system) in 1992 resplendent with text-based games such as Legend of the Red Dragon, BRE, TradeWars. I was drooling like a kid in a candy store when the more graphically-intensive first-person shooter games were released like Duke Nukem, Doom, Quake. And oh how many hours did I piddle away on Unreal Tournament (Head Shot!).

If I remember correctly, my first MMORPG experience was with Diablo II. It was the shiznit. I still play it today and am happy as a pig in muck that Diablo III is now more than just a rumor *squeals*.

As a fan of the Myst series, I eagerly applied for and was accepted into the beta test for Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. One of my closest friends, who I met in Uru, introduced me to Lineage II... which forever changed my life. And that's not just a testament to the game, but it's where I met my soul mate, OzDragon. We met as friends and travelled together as hunting partners. It was a perfect fit, he a Phantom Ranger (DD/archer) and I a Prophet (buffer/healer). Since that time we have traversed many MMORPG's and even beta tested a few together. Some of our closest and most trusted friends today were met in one game or another. It was only natural that our love of online games and the friends we've met there would evolve into the DragonShadow community.

Apart from online games, we also have a Wii, PS3 and xBox 360. We're total gameheads. We also sit down sometimes to a game of Crib or Rifts.
