    Default Forum Rules & Guidelines

Our Rules & Guidelines are short and simple. They are subject to change, so please refer back to them from time to time.

    Rules:

    1. Be respectful of other people's views whether you agree with them or not. Smacktalking and flaming will not be tolerated.
    2. Posts containing hatred or intolerance of another's race, religion, culture, sexuality are considered a violation of our community standards and will be dealt with accordingly.
    3. We have been lenient with the censor filter. Please don't abuse it.
    4. Do not provide external links to any images on this site. This is an abuse of our bandwidth and anyone caught doing this will face disciplinary action.
    5. Do not post links to competing forums. We do not poach members from other forums, and we would appreciate the same courtesy in return.
    6. Do not register multiple accounts. Each members is allowed one account.
    7. Some of the images on this site are the exclusive property of DragonShadow. If you wish to use any of our images elsewhere, please contact one of the admins to ensure you are not violating our terms of usage.

    Guidelines (Posting):

    1. Keep posts on topic. When heavy discussion takes place in a thread, the topic is bound to eventually change. Please be mindful of this and consider starting a new thread and perhaps provide a link to the original thread for continuity's sake.
    2. When you edit your own post after other members have replied to it, you can inadvertently render their posts irrelevant or out of context. If you need to edit/remove a core comment, consider writing a semi-descriptive note in the "reason for editing" option. We've set it so that users have a 10-minute grace period before the "edited" note shows up on the post.
    3. When using the "Quote" feature, only quote the part of the post you're referring to. There's nothing more annoying than someone quoting an entire post, including irrelevant parts, followed by a one-line reply. If you're replying to the last post, you don't really need to use the quote feature. Quote is best used when you're replying to a post several lines up. If the quote feature is abused, we will consider setting it so that your reply has to be longer than the quote.
    4. If your signature is relatively large and you're posting back and forth in an active thread, consider manually disabling your signature per post. The concern is not so much the bandwidth, but how a relatively small thread can span over multiple pages due to signatures rather than text content.

Note: Some of these Rules & Guidelines will be more strictly enforced in the Public forums.
